Haley Espree

Let’s kick things off—tell us a little bit about yourself! What’s your name, when did you graduate from DJ School Dallas, and where are you based now?

My name is Haley, also known as HAZEÄ. I graduated from DJ School Dallas in December 2023, at Green Light Social. I’m now based in Dallas, showcasing my music at various venues throughout the city.

How did you catch the DJ bug? What first got you hooked on DJing, and what made you decide to join DJ School Dallas? We’d love to hear how your journey started!

My passion for music began in childhood and truly evolved in 2014 when I attended my first EDM concert featuring Excision.

This experience sparked a decade-long journey through national and international concerts and music festivals, shaping my inspiration and revealing my most authentic self.

It was during this journey that I realized I needed to join DJ School Dallas, guided by the belief that what you seek is seeking you.

This epiphany led me to sign up, and it has been the most transformative decision of

my life. Through countless late nights and unwavering dedication, HAZEÄ came to life.

I've learned that finding the right mentors, cultivating friendships, and being kind can take you far in this industry.

What’s one thing you’ll never forget about your time at DJ School Dallas? Was there a standout moment or something about the course that really stuck with you? Tell us what made your experience special.

I will never forget my graduation from DJ School Dallas on December 16, 2023. I remember DJ Souljah calling my name, and as I walked up, I was so nervous that my hands were shaking. The moment I touched the decks and started my first song, I looked up to see my friends and family, which overwhelmed me with emotion. I never expected to receive such incredible support just by being my authentic self.

After my set, I received amazing feedback, with DJ Souljah noting that I played a festival-level performance. DJ Titan even asked the videographer to capture a moment of us hugging, looking into the camera, and saying, “HAZEÄ is going to be huge one day.” My heart is full. Thank you, DJ School Dallas, for this unforgettable memory.

Another unforgettable moment was opening for Eliminate. The crowd was phenomenal, and I thoroughly enjoyed creating a diverse, multi-genre set for the show.

Another highlight experience was playing direct support for Madds, followed by a surprise B2B set. Our collaboration was seamless, and the crowd responded enthusiastically. This event also led to a lasting friendship, which made the experience even more special.
