Choosing the right computer for DJing is crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient performance. Here are the key specifications you should look for while shopping:
RAM: Aim for a minimum of 16GB to enjoy the best experience. This ensures your software runs smoothly, even with multiple tracks and features in use.
Processor: Your computer should have at least an Intel Core i5 processor. This provides the necessary power to handle DJ software and music processing without hiccups.
USB Ports: Opt for a computer with USB 3.0 ports. This preference enhances connectivity and ensures faster data transfer between your computer and DJ equipment.
Operating System Compatibility: As of February 2024, the following operating systems are supported:
Windows: Look for systems running Windows 11 or Windows 10 with the latest service pack.
macOS: Your Mac should be updated to the latest version of either macOS Sonoma 14, macOS Ventura 13, macOS Monterey 12, or macOS Big Sur 11. Note that macOS Big Sur is only supported on versions later than 11.2.

We have students of all ages, from 7 to 70.
For Private Lessons: For students ages 6-12, we recommend 30-minute lessons, for students ages 13-18, we recommend 45-minute lessons, for students 18 and up, we recommend 60-minute lessons.For DJ School: We recommend students be at least 16 years old.

Refine your beat mixing talents, delve deeper into song order, BPM, and genres. Gain hands-on experience in programming, and celebrate the creation of your first beat-mixed playlist. Navigate through more advanced aspects of beat mixing and set creation across genres. Manage your playlists and MP3 files efficiently, and learn to record your mixes and post them online, while respecting copyright rules.
The course emphasizes on vital live DJing skills, such as reading a crowd, setting the appropriate tone, selecting the right music, and further refining your beat juggling and mixing skills.

This class is for musical enthusiasts with little to no musical training or experience.
We accept students from 16 years upwards, and will make exceptions with proper parental involvement.

This class is for those who have experience with basic DJ techniques. You have experience and are comfortable mixing songs and have your own equipment.
We accept students from 16 years upwards and will make exceptions with proper parental involvement.

A deposit of 50% is required to secure your seat in the session. The balance is due by the beginning of class three. We provide refunds on a per-case basis, and a refund is not guaranteed. A cancellation notice must be received no less than 7 days before the start of the first class. Otherwise, you are not eligible for a refund.

For DJ School 101: You will need a computer, preferably a laptop, and internet connection to complete the course. During the course, we will provide guidance and links for the correct software, downloading music, and purchasing equipment.
For DJ School 102: You will need to own DJ equipment including a controller and laptop. You will have one of the major DJ softwares installed such as Rekordbox, Serato, or Traktor. You will need to have access to music sources including DJ pools and streaming.
For Private Lessons: Ideally you will own DJ equipment including a laptop and controller. If you don’t have anything today, we’ve got plenty to get started with in studio and we can guide you towards the correct purchases for what you are wanting to do.

Being in the class with other students is part of the experience. We highly encourage you to choose a session where you can attend all classes as scheduled.
If you are unable to attend a class, there is a $50 rescheduling fee for each class. This offer expires at your class graduation.
There are no refunds for students who are unable to complete the course.
