By Feb. 15, 2019, Rivera and Najera began teaching the inaugural class of The DJ School.
“It's kind of a full circle of 23 years of hard work and tears and everything in between,” Rivera says.
The DJ School is a one-stop shop for DJ knowledge and equipment. It offers an introductory eight-week DJ course titled DJ School 101. A secondary course, DJ School 102, builds on the primary course’s foundation. Private lessons are available, and the school functions as a retailer for all the equipment necessary to practice the artform.
“The DJ School is my life's work summed up into a room,” Najera says.

Enrolling in DJ School, if you’ve ever wanted to fulfill your dream of becoming a DJ, now’s your chance. The DJ School Dallas is offering a course for anyone 16 and up regardless of experience.
The school says its instructors are DJs who work in some of the country’s top clubs and venues.
Voyage Dallas: Rising Stars
The DJ School Dallas was started by DJ Titan & S.O.U.L.Jah in 2019. They are two veteran DJs with a combined 40-plus years of experience in the DJ world. Both have traveled the world because of their talents & have garnered praise & accolades along the way.
They met at Core records over 15 years ago & have been best friends ever since. In 2007, S.O.U.L.Jah & DJ Titan started teaching students privately how to DJ; however, it wasn’t until 2019 that they finally joined forces to start The DJ School Dallas. They wanted to open up a school where they could invite anyone that wants to learn the art of DJing and spread their knowledge further than ever before.
Fast forward to 2022 & The DJ School Dallas will be celebrating its 20th graduation and 100th student! By 2025, they are expecting to have 300 graduates under their belt, if not more. But don’t get it twisted! You can still catch DJ Titan & S.O.U.L.Jah at your favorite club tearing up the dance floor with their amazing DJ sets!

The DJ School Dallas is a school for up and coming DJs, Artists, or anyone looking to learn more about the DJ Industry & the DJ Culture.
Our mission is to teach anyone that wants to learn the wonderful art form of DJ’ing. Our founders have an extraordinary 35+ years of combined DJ experience and currently have pupils playing in booths all over.
The thing that makes us most proud of us as a company is the joy you see the students have the day of their graduation set which is always held at an actual venue in front of an actual live audience! We put them on the spot & they ALWAYS deliver! It’s truly a testament to how successful the course is.
Every student that has enrolled in 2019 not only has graduated but all have go on to start successful DJ careers & turn their education we gave them into a respected & fulfilling job & career!
